- There are two ways
to get to the house, the shortest through Porto Carvalhoso, the last 3.5
kilometers on a proper dirt track. The scenic route on a 5km dirt track
is more hilly with superb views and leads through a river bed, which can
be waded through most of the time. Following the river you will arive at
our house. It is situated ca 150m from the river. The landscape consists
of hills where farmers still grow their crops. Many fruit trees but cork-oak,
grapes and medronheira as well

- The village of Curral
da Pedra consists of 12 houses, inhabited by Portuguese farmers, Brits,
Dutch and Germans. The distance to the closest neighbours is a couple of
hundred meters.
- The climate is an
Algarve climate, so warm in summer and in winter mild weather with lots
of sun. In summer there will always be a little breeze that provides the
welcome cooling effect.
